An Animalistic Experience

My sister called me tonight and while we were on the phone, I put the Bears game on MUTE with subtitles. During our conversation, suddenly she heard what sounded like her cats howling like they were trapped or in pain. It was so loud, I could hear it through the phone. She scurried around the condo, opening closet doors and pulling open drawers where the cats might be trapped. She found both of them in the other room and they were just fine.

Then we decided that it must be the coyotes that live in the woods right near her place. Maybe they were hunting and caught something. She heard them howl again and we figured the coyotes were calling the rest of the pack to share in the bounty. We were horrified and disgusted and mourned the rabbit or other critter that constituted coyote dinner. A couple of minutes later, I happened to glance at the TV screen and watched the Bears make a touchdown. I loudly screamed and hollered “GO BEARS!” At the same time, we heard the same cat/coyote-like howling. We finally figured out that the animal noises were coming from the upstairs neighbors who were watching the Bears Game too!
